Ingredients

  • 1 lb raw black beans (2 cups)
  • 1/3 cup diced onion
  • 1 jalapeño with ribs and seed diced
  • 2 teaspoons Black Magic bbq rub
  • 1/4 teaspoon lime or lemon juice

Directions

  1. Soak raw black beans overnight and then rinse.
  2. Add diced onion, jalapeño, black magic bbq rub, and lime or lemon juice. 
  3. Add 5 cups water and bring to boil.
  4. Simmer until tender. Add water if needed.
