Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chuck roast
  • 6 small to medium potatoes peeled and quartered
  • 1 yellow onion peeled and quartered
  • 5 stalks celery sliced
  • 1.5 cups carrots chopped
  • 16 oz beef broth
  • 16 oz water
  • 2 teaspoons Sassy BBQ Rub
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground Oregano leaves

Directions

  1. Salt and pepper both sides of roast
  2. Seer in hot, cast iron Lifespace potjie pot
  3. Add all vegetables sprinkle your rub mixture
  4. Pour in the broth and water
  5. Cover cook in an oven or pit at 350° for 3 hours
  6. TIP: Make sure cast iron is hot prior to adding meat for browning.
